Massage is non-invasive, relaxing and natural. It is therefore generally considered a safe treatment for most people. However, there are three types of contraindication:

TOTAL: when massage should not be performed at all.
LOCAL: when massage can be performed but not over the contraindicated areas.
MEDICAL: when massage can only be performed once medical permission has been granted.

The following restrictions are in place to protect your health and well-being. Thank you for taking them as seriously as we do.

Total Contraindications:
When you have any of these conditions, please do not book a massage:
● Fever
● Contagious or infectious diseases (including colds and flu).
● Under the influence of alcohol or drugs, including perscription pain medication.
● Recent operations or acute injuries.
● Neuritis.
● Skin diseases.

Local Contra-indications:
The therapist can massage but not over any areas affected by:
● Varicose veins.
● Undiagnosed lumps or bumps.
● Pregnancy.
● Bruising.
● Cuts or abrasions.
● Sunburn.
● Undiagnosed pain.
● Inflammation, including arthritis.

Medical Contra-indications:
If you suffer from any of the following conditions, massage can only take place once it has been approved before your session in writing by your Physician.
● Cardio-vascular conditions (thrombosis, phlebitis, hypertension, heart conditions).
● Any condition already being treated by a medical practitioner.
● Oedema.
● Psoriasis or eczema.
● High blood pressure.
● Osteoporosis.
● Cancer.
● Nervous or psychotic conditions.
● Heart problems, angina, those with pacemakers.
● Epilepsy.
● Diabetes.
● Bell's palsy, trapped or pinched nerves.
● Gynaecological infections.

Does a contraindication mean that treatment cannot take place?
Not always. In fact, massage can be very therapeutic for many medical conditions. However, in the above cases it is best to have advice from your physician. Massage therapists, unless they are also qualified doctors, may not, under law, attempt to diagnose a condition.

W celu zminimalizowania zakłóceń w harmonogramie, klient zobowiązany jest odwołać lub zmienić długość lub termin wizyty najpóźniej 24 godziny przed terminem wizyty. W przeciwnym razie, zostanie pobrana całkowita opłata za zarezerwowaną usługę.

REZERWACJE W TEN SAM DZIEŃ

Rezerwacja w ten sam dzień uważa się za wiążącą od momentu rezerwacji i w przypadku jej odwołania lub zmiany, klient jest zobowiązany uiścić całkowitą opłatę za zarezerwowaną usługę.

CZAS PRZYBYCIA

Czas trwania masaży jest określony w następujących jednostkach czasowych: 30, 60, 90 i 120 minut i jest liczony od momentu wejścia do gabinetu. Klient zobowiązany jest do przyjścia o umówionej godzinie. Nie wcześniej, gdyż na miejscu nie ma poczekalni oraz nie później gdyż czas świadczenia usługi zostanie skrócony o czas spóźnienia. W przypadku spóźnienia powyżej 15 minut zastrzegam sobie prawo do anulowania rezerwacji.

What is Personal Data?

What information do I hold, why do I have it and who might I share it with?

Currently we hold a completed consultation form and treatment records with your details. These include your name, address, phone number and email address so we can contact you. Consultation form and treatment records include your health related data so we have a full understanding of your medical and health history. This we need for insurance reasons, but it is to check that it is safe to treat you and to understand what medical issues you have and how best we can treat you. Treatment will not go ahead unless we collect and store these details.

How, where and how long do I hold your data?

It is a condition of our Insurance Policy to take and retain client records for at least 6 years following the last occasion on which treatment was given. In the case of treatment to minors, records shall be kept for 6 years after they reach the age of majority (18). After 6 years following the last occasion on which treatment was given, I will destroy all of your records by shredding them. We keep a paper record of your patient information, then consultation forms and Treatment records are kept in a locked filing cabinet within my house, and treatment records are maintained on a password controlled laptop. Only I have access to these records and I will take all appropriate steps to protect the confidentiality, integrity, availability and authenticity of your data.

You have:

• the right to object to the processing of your personal data;
• the right to restrict the processing of your personal data;
• the right to rectification of your personal data;

In exercising your Individual Rights, you should understand that in some situations I may be unable to fully meet your request, for example if you make a request for me to delete all your personal data, I may be required to retain some data for taxation, legal, regulatory and insurance purposes. In addition, where these interests apply, we are required by law to grant access to this data for law enforcement, legal and/or health related matters.
